 Mistake

When I was 5 years old, my father bought me a mini bicycle. He said that he would teach me how to ride a bicycle the week after. But I liked this bicycle so much, and I couldn't stand waiting until next week. So the day after, when my father was not there in the house for some reasons, I tried to ride it myself. Since I used to look at my father riding a bicycle, I would feel that it was so easy to drive it that it would hardly take a minute for me to start it and then I would be riding it on my way to my grandparents' home showing him that I could also ride the bike without being taught. But it was not easy as I thought. I fell off the bike and injured my leg. The bike was also broken. Then I was taken to the hospital. The whole incident was a big lesson for me that I should not touch upon something of which I do not have prior knowledge and that I should obey my parents since whatever they say is just for my well-being only.

For every Vietnamese, we certainly cannot forget a historical event that ended more than a thousand years of domination by the enemy of the North. It was a victory on Bach Dang River in 938, led by Ngo Quyen to defeat the South Han army. In 937, Duong Dinh Nghe was killed by Kieu Cong Tien. After that, Ngo Quyen gathered forces to the North to kill Kieu Cong Tien. Kieu Cong Tien sent people to China to pray for help in the Nan Han Dynasty. In 938, Ngo Quyen went to the North to kill Kieu Cong Tien, preparing to fight the enemy. Realizing the special tide on the Bach Dang River, Ngo Quyen had his troops piled on both sides of the river, and waited for the enemy's arrival. With his ingenuity, Ngo Quyen directed his troops to defeat the Nam Han, ended more than 1000 years of domination by the Northern enemy. That victory is really meaningful. Every time I remember, I feel proud of our country's glorious victory. Up to now, Bach Dang River still has traces of piles on the banks of the river. Although our people have many other victories, for me it is an historical event that I cannot forget.

Hue is located in central Vietnam on the banks of Perfume River (Sông Hương), just a few miles inland from the East Sea. It is about 700 kilometers (438 miles) south of the national capital of Hanoi and about 1100 kilometers (690 miles) north of Hochiminh City. the city has 2 main seasons: the dry season and rainy season. The former is fairly hot, lasting from March to August, while the latter begins from August, and is cool and wet. But the most special point is the short spring lasting from January till February, with a very cool and fresh atmosphere and green purity of new tree, leaves here and there. This means if you would like to visit the city but still afraid of the hot or wet weather, please come in between January and February.vHue is one of the main cultural, religious and educational centers of Vietnam. So far, Hue remains to be the only originally historical vestige city in Vietnam. Many of Hue’s attractions are found along the banks of the romantically named Perfume River with 11km length. This valuable construction includes more than 100 architectural works, which are the reflection of the life of Emperors and mandarins under Nguyen’s reign.

There are a lot of interesting places such as: Asia entertainment park, Ba Na hill, Hoi An ancient town, My Khe beach, museum of art as well as famous bridges. The city is well known for its fresh atmosphere, friendly people and security. The weather is glorious all the year and it brings this city many delicacies from sea and perfect living condition for people, specifically the elder. Visiting Da Nang, I am really impressed by Ba Na hill containing longest cable car from land to the top of the mountain. It is an unforgettable experience for visitors to observe breathtaking sight and picturesque scene. Beside, the beaches have long golden sand, deep blue sea in addition huge bunches of fresh coconut. Tourist has a chance to relax, enjoy the peace and nature, play aquatic sport. Moreover, the city has many big bridges like: Dragon bridge, Quay bridge and a large outdoor entertainment named Asia park. Additionally, there are a lot of delicious typical dishes such as: Quang noodle, xeo cake, pork pan-cake and others. Da Nang is preserved for its natural beauty; therefore, there is an increasing number of tourists come here. Consequently, it leads to polluted environment, natural damage and other social problem. However, the security of the city is good that there is no street robbery. Hence, Da Nang is voted to be one of the most worth-living cities in Vietnam. In the future, I hope Da Nang will develop and become more popular over the world.

Hello Linh ! Today I introduce about the life of farmer in Vietnam. It my hometown.

You know the village has always been known to be a place of peace and quiet. The scattered houses among hundreds of plants and trees at once indicate the lack of activity in the village.

The workers in the village leave their homes early in the morning to work in the plantations or towns nearby. Some have their own plantations, and some make some articles in their homes to sell them in the towns. A few of the villagers, including women, go out to catch fish in the streams and rivers found in the village. Though the people of the village do not usually earn much, yet they seem to be contented. There are many farmers working very hard. They do from dawn to dusk, but their cheerful, optimistic and loving spirit never makes them tired. They do very hard work in the field. The grain we eat is due to the sweat of the peasants, so we must cherish the grain of rice. Vietnam has folk songs about farmers as follows:

“ Cày đồng đang buổi ban trưa,

Mồ hôi đổ xuống như mưa ruộng cày.

Ai ơi bưng bát cơm đầy,

Dẻo thơm một hạt đắng cay muôn phần.”

In the afternoon, most of the villagers are at home. Some of them take a nap after lunch; Some work in their small gardens, and some visit the small shops in the village. In various parts of the village children may be seen playing the popular games of the village. Occasionally, a cyclist passes by.

Then, in the evening, the villagers meet one another. Some play cards and other types of games peculiar to the village. Some talk about the day's incidents in the village, and those whose minds go beyond the village to discuss world events.

In almost every village there is a headman whose duty is to settle quarrels among the villagers and maintain peace in the village. Whenever there is a dispute, the villagers go to the headman who is held in such an esteem that his word has the force or law. In this way the villagers have developed their own simple laws, and the crimes of cities are almost unknown to the people of the village.

During a festival, the whole village is alive with activities. Everyone is in a happy mood and plays his part to make a festival a success. This is the time for the men, women and children of the village to wear their best clothes and the village is full of color. These simple ways of life in the village, however, must soon change. Progress in science and education has already begun to affect the outlook of the people in the village, and hundreds are leaving the village to seek their fortunes in the towns and cities.

Hope the article about English life in the countryside above will help you complete the best article. Wish you good performance and learn English successfully !

There are many natural wonders in Viet Nam like Paradise Cave, Perfume Pagoda, Cuc Phuong National Park,... but I like visiting Ha Long Bay best because of its attractive scenery, picturesque setting and touring experience.
Ha Long Bay is one of seven natural wonders of the world. It's located in the northeast of Viet Nam. In 1994 and 2000. Ha Long Bay was recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Administratively, the bay belongs to Ha Long City, Cam Pha town and a part of Van Don District. It has 1969 islands and thousand of limestone karsts in various sizes and shapes, concentrated in 2 main zones: the southeast (belonging to Bai Tu Long Bay) and the southwest (belonging to Ha Long Bay). Many of them were acquired their names as a result of interpretation of their unusual shapes such as Voi Islet, Ga Choi Islet, Mai Nha Islet. At the centre of the islands, there are wonderful caverns such as Thien Cung, Tam Cu, Dau Go, Sung Sot,... Coming here, you can have unforgettable experience with the peaceful nature, blue sky, white sands and tourist facilities as standardized hotels, restaurants,... Ha Long Bay is famous for its seafoods such as crabs, cuttles,...
In short, tourists should visit Ha Long Bay. I feel comfortable and relax here. Touring experience is very good. Seafoods are delicious and at reasonable price. I love this place and I want to visit Ha Long Bay again.

Ha Long Bay is one of the seven natural wonders in the world. Ha Long Bay is located in Quang Ninh province which is in the north of Vietnam. It is nearly 200km from Hanoi. So it takes you about 4 hours by car. You can also travel there in a coach or even in a helicopter on Saturday. The best season to visit Ha Long is in summer when the weather is warm and sunny. Ha Long Bay has many beautiful caves and islands; therefore, you must take a boat trip to enjoy the view here. You certainly must take pictures to remember the trip better, too. If you are an active person, you must do the water sports here like swimming, sailing, and windsurfing. One more thing, you must try the seafood here because it is incredibly fresh and delicious.

ocated in the Gulf of Tonkin, Ha Long Bay may be the most beautiful destination in Southeast Asia.

Acknowledged by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1994, Ha Long Bay is considered one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature by global poll. The name Ha Long, which means descending dragon, comes from an ancient tale. In the story, there was once a dragon descending from the sky and dropping thousands of pearls which later became islands and islets with different sizes and shapes that emerged from the water surface. Some of them possess distinctive shapes like Trong Mai islet, Oan islet, or Ga Choi islet. These became the main attractions when sailing around the bay. Some famous islands like Co To, Tuan Chau, Ti Top, and Quan Lan have breathtaking views of emerald water and unspoiled sand which have become the best destinations for most foreign and domestic visitors.

In addition to more than 1,600 islands and islets, there are many splendid caves and grottos scattered around the bay such as Thien Cung, Dau Go, Luon, Sung Sot caves and more. Those have become well-known all over the world for their spectacular beauty and outstanding geological value.

Visitors coming to Ha Long Bay can also have a variety of cruise itineraries to choose from. They vary from visiting grottos and caves to going to some fishing villages like Cua Van to experience the life of local fishermen on floating houses and enjoy fresh seafood prepared right on the ship.
