Weather is always hot in summers, that is why many people choose to escape the heat by going to somewhere cold such as Da Lat or Sapa. And lucky for me, last summer I had had a great chance to go to Da Lat with my friends on my summer holiday. To me, the weather there was so perfect, it was still always cold during that summer. The atmosphere there was very clean and fresh, which made me feel very comfortable. Which made me surprised most is that the hotel we stayed has no air - conditional, but we still felt cold, that’s awesome. We stayed there for about 2 weeks and we had gone to many spectacular places. We went to Love valley- one of the greatest tourists attraction in Da Lat, Elephant falls, Lang Biang, Dambri waterfall,... I also had chance to try out various food, drink, and fresh fruit. I really d the mulberry smoothy there, avocado ice cream, fruit jam which was made totally from real fresh fruit,.. They were all very tasty. Especially, Da Lat had a number of beautiful scenery,many lovely coffee shop and attractive spots that made me want to take a lot of picture to keep the memory. There was also a night market ,always crowded with customers, where people can buy food, flowers, or any stuff they want. I had went there and buy many gifts for my family. It was an unforgettable trip, I was quite upset that I could not stay there for a long time, but I hoped I still can visit Da Lat whenever I have time, and I really recommend you went to Da Lat for holiday. Chúng tôi ở đó khoảng 2 tuần và chúng tôi đã đi đến nhiều nơi hấp dẫn. Chúng tôi đã đến thung lũng Tình Yêu - một trong những điểm thu hút khách du lịch lớn nhất Đà Lạt, Thác Voi , Lang Biang, thác Dambri,... Tôi cũng đã có cơ hội để thử qua những loại thức ăn, thức uống và hoa quả tươi khác nhau. Tôi thực sự thích sinh tố dâu tằm ở đó, kem bơ, mứt hoa quả mà được làm từ trái cây tươi thực sự,... Tất cả đều rất ngon. Đặc biệt, Đà Lạt có rất nhiều phong cảnh đẹp, rất nhiều quán cà phê đáng yêu và nhiều địa điểm thu hút khiến tôi muốn chụp thật nhiều ảnh để lưu giữ. Ở đó còn có một chợ đêm, luôn nhộn nhịp với khách mua hàng, nơi mà mọi người có thể mua thức ăn, hoa, hay bất cứ thứ gì họ muốn. Tôi đã đến đó và mua nhiều món quà cho gia đình của mình. Đó là một chuyến đi không thể nào quên được, tôi khá buồn vì không thể ở đó được lâu, nhưng tôi hy vọng tôi vẫn có thể thăm Đà Lạt bất cứ khi nào tôi có dịp, và tôi thực sự khuyên bạn nên đi Đà Lạt vào kỳ nghỉ. Nơi đây thật sự rất tuyệt vời !!

          Every years in my school , there are many volunteer works . And I always join it . First , I don't understand that : '' What is the volunteer work ? '' . But when a volunteer explains , I understood . Then I donate many things such as : pens , books , shoes , clothes , ...... I think it is very useful for many people need them . I love doing volunteer works very much , because I can help people poor , ..........

I have attended many competitions in different phases of my life and have won some prizes from those competitions as well. One such contest that I would like to talk about was the Cycling competition that I participated in my college. I was then a student of the college and around 15 years old. One day I noticed an advertisement in our local newspaper that an inter-college cycling competition would be held on next week. The entry fee would be 20.000 VND and the prizes would be given to the first three cyclers. I had a passion for cycling and that’s why I thought to participate it. On the day of the contest, I went to the starting point and registered my name in the competition. I took my bicycle and wore my cycling dresse. I noticed there were around 30 competitors and I was asked to stand at my start point. With the sound of the whistle, I start cycling. I had almost no intention of winning prized but I simply did concentrate on cycling. The total distance was around 1 kilometers. After I finished the racing, I was really surprised to hear that I won the third prize. Some of my classmates were shouting because I was one of the three prize winners. I felt really happy and proud that I did well in this competition. Actually, I never took my cycling habit seriously but I did well in that competition. So after that I started practicing and participating in other cycling competitions as well.

Being a summer volunteer is one of the good things we can do in our student time. Instead of wasting our time playing games or wandering with our friends, we can join the Blue Summer campaign at schools. By doing so, we can become young volunteers to help people who are in need. I always remember last summer when our volunteer team had been to a poor countryside. That place even lacked of clean water and electricity, while in many other places people are wasting them. After a day of resting, we started to clean up the old school together, attended in the project of reconstructing a number of local bridges which funded by donors. We lived in some of the houses of the local people, and we spent time doing house chores, playing, and eating together. Although their lives are lacking of materials, their hearts are full of love and kindness. We helped them with our strength and the ebullient spirit of youth, and in return they took care of us so we could be safe and happy while we were away from home. After a month and a half, we successfully restored an old school and one bridge, and we built one more small new bridge. These things really helped children at that place had a better educational environment, and people had an easier road to go to work. Local people were very excited with those new constructions, and we promised to come back next summer to bring better things. When the volunteer trip ended, my parents were very happy when I came back home safely. I felt so proud of myself because I could prove that I was a mature person by helping other people. Summer is coming soon, and I cannot wait to be on my next volunteer trip together with my friends.

Con trâu là loài vật nuôi gắn liền với ruộng đồng và những người nông dân Việt Nam. Tuy nhiên, vì sinh ra và lớn lên ở thành phố nên chỉ biết đến con trâu qua sách báo, ti vi. Thứ bảy tuần vừa qua, khi cùng bố lên thăm người bạn cũ ở Hà Nam, em đã tình cờ trông thấy con trâu đang ăn cỏ, lần đầu tiên nhìn thấy con trâu ngoài đời thực khiến em vô cùng háo hức.

Con trâu đang ăn cỏ bên bờ ruộng có thân hình to lớn hơn rất nhiều so với tưởng tượng của em. Trâu có bộ lông đen bóng, trên đầu là cặp sừng to, cứng cáp và cong như vầng trăng bị khuyết. Mắt trâu to tròn, đen nhánh,  điều khiến em ấn tượng hơn cả ở đôi mắt của trâu là cặp lông mi đen, dài hơi rũ xuống làm cho ánh nhìn của con trâu trở nên hiền lành, dễ mến. Mũi trâu to, hơi hếch lên trên và được các bác nông dân buộc vào một sợi dây thừng để dắt đi.

Tai của trâu to như hai chiếc lá bàng, đuôi của trâu dài thường xuyên phe phẩy để đuổi ruồi bọ, côn trùng. Chân của con trâu to lớn, vững chãi với những bước đi chậm dãi, thong dong trên bãi cỏ. Con trâu ăn những đám cỏ non bên bờ ruộng, em nghe được âm thanh nhai cỏ “sực sực”, có lẽ con trâu đang ăn ngon miệng lắm.

Qua lần gặp mặt tình cờ, em cảm thấy yêu quý con trâu hơn bởi đây là loài động vật chăm chỉ, hiền lành, không những thế con trâu còn là người bạn thân thiết của người nông dân Việt Nam.

Để nói về một loài vật nuôi có mặt ở đa số các gia đình Việt Nam thì chắc hẳn phải là con chó. Bởi chó là một loài rất thông minh lại có ích, giúp canh giữ nhà cửa cho con người.

Nhà em cũng nuôi một con chó, em đặt tên cho nó là Ki. Con Ki là giống chó lai, khác với mẹ nó là chó cỏ, chó ta, chắc hẳn vì bố của nó là chó lai nên giờ nó mới to bệ vệ như thế. Màu lông của con Ki cũng rất đặc biệt, phần lông ở đầu đều là màu vàng cỏ úa, nhưng xuống đến lưng lại có những đám lông màu nâu, rồi màu nâu đậm và đến phần đuôi là lông màu đen. Con chó Ki nhà em cao to, chiếc mõm to dài, đôi tai vểnh lên to như chiếc tai của thỏ, đôi mắt đen to tròn lộ rõ vẻ tinh anh. Chân của nó to hơn hẳn so với những con chó nhà hàng xóm, to hơn cả cánh tay của em, chiếc đuôi ít lông, thon dài quẫy vòng tròn mỗi khi thấy em đi học về. Con Ki tuy có thân hình to lớn nhưng lại khá nhút nhát, hễ có người lạ vào nhà là nó sủa lên rất to nhưng lại không dám chạy ra ngoài mà chỉ đứng gọn ở góc sân, vừa sủa vừa lùi dần vào bên trong, ra vẻ hung dữ nhưng vẫn rất sợ sệt. Cả ngày nó chỉ nằm im trong chuồng, chỉ khi nào muốn uống nước, đòi ăn hay muốn đi vệ sinh nó sẽ kêu âm ỉ “Ư ử! Ư ử!”. Khi được thả ra là nó nhảy chồm lên người tỏ vẻ rất vui sướng.

Em rất yêu quý con chó của nhà em,  đêm nào con Ki cũng thức suốt đêm để canh giấc ngủ cho cả nhà, đến sáng mới dám đi ngủ. Nó cũng rất biết chơi đùa và nghe lời của chủ.

I used to attend the Tet Holiday Flower festival. It’s called Nguyen Hue Flower street Festival. It is held in Nguyen Hue Street in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. It takes place every Tet Holiday for 1 week. It is celebrated by Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee. They display and decorate the street with many kinds of flowers and lights. Many people come there to enjoy the beautiful flowers and take pictures.

Mid-Autumn Festival is under the full moon day of the lunar calendar every year in August, over 4,000 years ago. This is the day children’s festival, also known as the “Festival looks Moon”. Children are expected Tet is because adults are often donated toys, usually light. His star, mask, light pull troops … and pies, cakes plastic. Besides the Tet Holiday, Mid-Autumn festival is one of the most famous festivals and it is a traditional celebration for Vietnamese children.

Mid-Autumn celebration is also an opportunity for members of the family to get together and share everything in their year. The young generation express their gratitude to the old generation. The parents show their love for their children. For others, because the traditional time to have this festival is usually after harvesting the crops, it is as the congratulation for the full harvest.

Apart from moon cakes and lanterns, the other most visible tradition related to Mid-Autumn festival is the lion dance. On the nights leading up to the holiday, groups of children parade through the streets – some of the children maintain a martial beat on drums, while others control an extravagantly decorated ‘lion’ crafted from molds and paper.

The children approach homes and businesses and ask the owners for their permission to perform. If they agree, the children put on a show that is believed to bring a blessing of luck and fortune. Afterwards the host gives the children lucky money as a sign of gratitude.
