Once upon a time, King Hung VI decided to hold a competition for his sons to welcome the coming Tet. The son who won would become the next king. He said to his sons, "You must find the most special and delicious food in the land".
The princes searched the land. Each time they found a delicious food, they took it to their father and hoped they would be king. The poorest 18th prince, Lang Lieu, was a very kind person. He stayed at home to take care of his father. One day, Lang Lieu dreamed of a new food which was made with rice. He thought rice was the most special food in the land.
He got up and started to make one cake in the square form of earth called banh chung, and one in the round form of sky called banh giay. The cakes were made from sticky rice, pork, and green beans. Banh chung was wrapped in dong leaves and tied with bamboo strings.
The king really loved the cakes. He decided that Lang Lieu would be the next king. He sent the recipe for banh chung and banh giay to all the people in the land. From that day on, Vietnamese people cook these special cakes at Tet and at other celebrations. Mọi người chỉ mình học trong 1 tiếng đi ạ.
Ngày xưa, vua Hùng thứ VI đã quyết định tổ chức cuộc thi để các con trai đón Tết đến. Con trai chiến thắng sẽ trở thành vị vua tiếp theo. Ông nói với các con trai của mình: "Các con phải tìm những món ăn ngon và đặc biệt nhất ở đất". Các hoàng tử khám xét vùng đất. Mỗi khi tìm được món ăn ngon, họ đưa đến cho vua cha và hy vọng sẽ được làm vua. Chàng hoàng tử thứ 18 đáng thương nhất, Lang Liêu, là một người rất tốt bụng. Anh ở nhà chăm sóc bố. Một hôm, Lang Liêu mơ thấy một loại lương thực mới được làm bằng gạo. Anh cho rằng gạo là thức ăn đặc biệt nhất của vùng đất này. Ông đứng dậy và bắt tay vào làm một chiếc bánh hình vuông bằng đất gọi là bánh chưng, và một chiếc bánh hình trời tròn gọi là bánh giầy. Bánh được làm từ gạo nếp, thịt lợn và đậu xanh. Bánh chưng được gói bằng lá dong và buộc bằng dây tre. Nhà vua thực sự yêu thích những chiếc bánh ngọt. Chàng quyết định Lang Liêu sẽ là vị vua kế tiếp. Anh gửi công thức làm bánh chưng, bánh giầy cho mọi người dân tứ xứ. Kể từ ngày đó, người Việt nấu những loại bánh đặc biệt này vào dịp Tết và các dịp lễ khác.

Read this legend, then answer the following questions.. Kitchen Gods Once upon a time, there was a childless couple. The wife was faithful and loved the husband passionately while the husband was treated his wife badly. One day he beat the poor wife with a stick and dismissed her from home. The women had come to another place. She then got married with a kind man, and they lived in harmony. One afternoon when her husband had gone for hunting, a beggar came and a some food. The woman was kind; filled the poor beggar's bag and recognized that the beggar was her former husband. The man also recognized his wife then. She felt sorry for the man when hearing that from the day he dismissed ber, he was deeply sad and regretful. So he decided to go away to find her until he spent all money and became a beggar. After being offered a big meal, the man was drunk so the woman had to drag him out and hid him in a stack of straw because it was time for her recent husband to come back from the forest. After a while, there was a knock at the door, the hunter appeared with a deer on his back. He then happily asked the woman to go to the market to prepare for the dinner. When the women came back, she found that the stack of straw, where her drunk former husband was sleeping, had been burned with a deer roasted. She cried painfully, and then jumped into the fire. The hunter didn't know what had happened and what to do but jumped into the fire to die beside his wife. At that moment, God was in the heaven, he was moved by the story so he turned three of them into three parts of the earthen tripod so that they could live side foreverand conferred them with the title of Kitchen God to oversee all the cooking of people.
