MY SUMMER VOLUNTEER My name is Rachael and I am eighteen years old. This summer I did some volunteer work. I volunteered in an orphanage with about 220 children. I worked with the twenty-five babies and the younger children. I loved working in the baby rooms of the orphanage. At first it was really hard to see so many babies at the same time. But after some time, I loved the babies like they were my own. I also look after older children. They were really nice. They all just wanted our attention and love. I became attached to another little girl. She was seven years old. The first day I met her, she seemed very sad, and didn't play with the other children. By the end of my time there she was laughing and smiling. During my time at the orphanage, I fed babies and played with them. At the end of my time there, all the children were so sad but I can't do nothing but leave. This experience changed my life! It was a summer that I didn't waste.
