1. Types of family conflicts by type of relationship
Depending on the type of relationship or relationship that exists between family members, four types of family conflict can be distinguished.

1.1. The couple's conflict
It cannot be denied that disputes or crises arise in the context of a married couple; however, if people can handle them properly then these conflicts can serve to promote the strengthening of the husband and wife relationship.

Often these difficulties arise spontaneously as a result of communication problems or misunderstandings. The most common causes of daily conflict in couples are:

Communication problems: incorrect expressions, reproaches, emotional words, insults, etc.
A feeling of loss of freedom and self-control on the part of one of the couple's members.
Try to change other people's way of life.
Lack of problem-solving skills.
1.2. Conflict between parents and children
Depending on the stage of development at which each party to the conflict is located, they can be divided into three categories:

Conflict in childhood: conflict often revolves around the autonomous development of children. In these cases, the parents aren't sure how to give that autonomy, or they don't believe their son is moving in the direction they think is right.

Conflict during adolescence: is the period when the greatest number of conflicts arise. They appear when children are between 12 and 18 years old and are brought on by the emotional ups and downs of this period.

Contradictions with adult children: when children reach adulthood, it is assumed that coexistence between adults begins. Which often have different ways of thinking and understanding how to live or organize their lives, so this time too is likely to cause some family conflict.

1.3. Conflict between brothers
These types of conflicts are the most common and the ones that last the longest regardless of the life stage in which each of them is located. These changes tend to be sustained for a very short time, and most of the time parental infiltration is optional.

The positive side of this type of conflict is that they form a prelude to conflicts that can emerge in adulthood, and thus serve as the beginning and learning for adult life.

1.4. Conflict with the elderly
As an adult enters old age, the changes experienced are extremely important. Both at the biological level, when the patient notices a physical impairment; as a social level, where they appear events such as retirement, loss of friends or loved ones, etc.

This set of changes can be experienced in a very dramatic way by the person, leading to conflict with other components of the family nucleus.
