Manchester has a population of about five million, but it’s not the capital city of Britain. London is the capital and it’s the biggest city in Britain. But Manchester is the wettest! In Manchester, it rains in spring, summer, fall and winter. The city is very noisy. There are a lot of cars and there is a lot of pollution. People drive their cars to work, and children take the bus to school. There aren’t many bikes or motorbikes because the weather is very cold. Near the city, there are lots of lakes and mountains. People go walking there on the weekend. Manchester also has a lot of cinemas and theaters so there is always something to do on the weekend.
