Especially, I give to each other the best wishes for the new year. Tet is an opportunity for children receive lucky money. There is a funny thing that people try to avoid argument or saying any bad things at Tet. I love Tet holiday!
Tet is a national and family festival. It is an occasion for every Vietnamese to have a good time while thinking about the last year and the next year. At Tet, spring fairs are organized, streets and public buildings are brightly decorated and almost all shops are crowded with people shopping for Tet. At home, every is tidied, special food is cooked,offerings of food, fresh water, flowers and betel are made on the family altar with burning joss- sks scenting the air. Sáng sớm,tôi tỉnh dậy bước ra vườn.Bên cạnh những cây hoa hồng kiêu sa,hoa cúc e lệ trong sương sớm thì cây hoa mai cũng thay áo mới để đón mừng xuân.Tôi còn nhớ,khi tôi học lớp bốn,cậu tôi đã tận cho gia đình tôi một chậu mai.Từ khi nhận được cây mai,gia đình tôi yêu quí,chăm sóc nó cẩn thận lắm .Mỗi lần nhớ tới cậu,tôi lại ra vườn tưới cây tỉa cành.Từng ngày,từng ngày,dưới bàn tay chăm sóc của gia đình tôi,cây lớn hẳn,bây giờ nó đã cao đến hai thước, gốc to bàng bắp chân tôi,những cái rễ đâm xuống như muốn tìm nguồn sống trong lòng đất mẹ. Không xanh tươi mảnh dẻ như hoa hồng,thân mai xù xì màu nâu sậm. Mỗi lần chăm sóc mai,sờ vào lớp vỏ xù xì của nó,tôi thấy thương mai biết bao nhiêu. Phải chăng nàng tiên Xuân không ưu ái cho mai nên mới khoác cho nó tấm áo buồn tẻ đến thế! Thế nhưng thân mai uốn lượn thật đẹp, lên cao chia thành nhiều cành nhỏ,những cành nhỏ đó lại chia thành nhiều nhánh mảnh dẻ nhưng những cánh tay giơ lên nhẹ nhàng xoè bàn tẩy đón lộc xuân. Còn nhớ,mới đây thôi,vào những ngày mùa đông giá lạnh,cây mai kiên cường chống chọi với thời tiết khắc nghiệt. Lúc này, mai phủ lên mình những chiếc lá màu xanh đạm, thon dài, mép có răng cưa. Khi mà Tết sắp đến,tôi thường giúp gia đình ngắt lá giúp mai để cởi bỏ những chiếc lá cũ. Và lúc này trông mai thật khẳng khiu, tội nghiệp. Toàn thân nó trơ ra những xương,co ro trong giá lạnh. Thế nhưng, chỉ sau vài ngày,mai đã bắt đầu nhú lên những chiếc nụ xinh xắn, no tròn xanh biếc, đầu nụ cuộn chặt vào nhau. Nhìn những nụ bé xinh, tôi có cảm tưởng như nàng tiên xuân đã nhẹ nhàng êm ái những đặt những hạt ngọc bích lên tô điểm cho mai, chuẩn bị cho một mùa xuân ấm áp, vui tươi.
