Buckingham Palace is a residence of the King (or Queen) of the United Kingdom in London, the official residence and home of the Royal Family [1]. This palace was built in 1703 for the Duke of Buckingham and is surrounded by three parks, including the famous Hyde Park. It was built to cater for special events of the country and for royalty.
Buckingham Palace was built on a site that has been privately owned for at least 150 years. It was acquired by King George III in 1761 to give to Queen Charlotte. By the 19th century, it was expanded, mainly by architects John Nash [2] and Edward Blore. This place officially became the residence of the British Royal Family when Queen Victoria was crowned in 1837.
