Watermelon is my favorite fruit, and I can eat a whole one by myself. It is original from Africa, but now we can find it almost in the tropical and subtropical areas worldwide. It has a thick hard grind with dark green stripes on a lighter green base. Although people usually trim off the grind, it is still edible after being cooked. The sweet, crunchy and juicy flesh inside is usually red or pink when it is ripe, but in some countries we can even enjoy the yellow - flesh watermelon. There are countless black seeds among the flesh, we can eat them raw or dry them under the sun for a perfect snack. Currently, seedless watermelons have been cultivated, and they even come in various shape such as heart, rectangle or star. Watermelon is one of the main fruit for the Tet holiday in Vietnam, and it is also the time when I can eat as many watermelons as I can.
