Que diêm tắt phụt, và ảo ảnh rực sáng trên khuôn mặt em bé cũng biến mất.
Thế là em quẹt tất cả những que diêm còn lại trong bao. Em muốn níu bà em lại! Diêm nối nhau chiếu sáng như giữa ban ngày. Chưa bao giờ em thấy bà em to lớn và đẹp lão như thế này.
