Thomas Edison was born on February 11th, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. When he was at school, his teacher considered him to be a slow student. Because of hearing problems, Edison had difficulty following the lessons. But with only three months of formal education he became one of the greatest inventors and industrial leaders in history. Edison had a special life. He married twice with five children. He loved books, had excellent memory, and always showed curiosity about science. We went to Doi Tam, a village famous its drum making techniques, in Ha Nam Province last month. The craft was first introduced to the village sometime in the 8th or 9th century. Today there are more than six hundred drum makers living in Doi Tam village. I was amazed to see big drums in front of every house in the village.

People say that it takes four workers three days to make a drum with a diameter of 1.5 metres. To make a drum, the craftsmen have to carefully an eight stage process. Stretching the drumhead is the most challenging stage because they have to carefully assess the sound it makes. The other steps' do not require such high skills.

Nowadays, Doi Tam drums are not only famous in Viet Nam but are also sold to other countries such as Laos, Cambodia, Japan, and the USA.

Within five years, each of the 1500 students at the college will receive a laptop. The laptop are part of a $10 million computer program at Westlake,a 100-year-old college. Nowadays, Internet has become an important part in our lives. Every day, people use the Internet to search for information, study online, contact with friends,...The Internet is extremely important in many fields, from education and health care to business and government. The Internet has a huge source of information and most of these informations are reliable. Besides, Internet is a great mean of communication. Through the soicial networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter,...you can communicate with anyone from any part of the world easily. These soicial networks are also useful for your business. Moreover, Internet allows people learn whatever they want and whenever they want. Most of the information it can provide is free. Furthermore, Internet isn't a bad choice for everyone needs to relax a little bit after a long day. Everyone can find something to entertain themselves on the Internet. The Internet has lots of benefits but we shouldn't use the Internet too much because it may have negative effects on our lives.

Disadvantage of playing too much computer games.

One of the entertainment ways is playing computer games. Playing computer games helps people relax after a hard working day. But playing too much computer games can have lots of disadvantages. First, playing computer games will create addiction so you may spend more time on playing than usual. It will affect your daily activities. Second, spending too many hours in front of a screen will make your life become boring and not enough soicial interaction.
