☢ So…that...

- Với tính từ: So + Adj + be + S + that + S + V...

- Với trạng từ: So + Adv + Auxiliary + S + V + that + S + V...

Example:

➸ She is so cold that all the children are afraid of her. => So cold is she that all the children are afraid of her. (Cô ấy lạnh lùng đến mức tất cả những đứa trẻ đều sợ cô ấy.)

➸ Nam studied so hard that he was exhausted. => So hard did Nam study that he was exhausted. (Nam học hành chăm chỉ đến mức kiệt sức.)

☢ Such…that...(chia)

- Such + be + (a/ an) + Adj + N + that + S + V

- Such + (a/ an) + Adj + N + be + S + that + S + V

Example:

➸ The task is so difficult that I can't handle it. => Such is a difficult task that I can’t handle it. (Đó là một nhiệm vụ quá khó khăn mà tôi không thể đảm đương được.)

➸ She was such a beautiful lady that we all admired her. => Such a beautiful lady was she that we all admired her. (Cô ấy thật là một phụ nữ xinh đẹp mà tất cả chúng tôi đều ngưỡng mộ cô ấy.)

⚡⚡⚡ ĐẢO NGỮ - INVERSION (P.1) ⚡⚡⚡

⚡ Đảo ngữ với câu điều kiện ⚡

Đảo ngữ với câu điều kiện thì chỉ đảo ở mệnh đề if, mệnh đề sau giữ nguyên.

✔ Câu điều kiện loại 1:

Should + S + V / be..., S + will/should/may/shall + V… 

Ex:

If she is here on time, we will let her join us. => Should she be here on time, we will let her join us. (Nếu cô ấy đến đúng giờ, chúng ta sẽ để cô ấy tham gia cùng.)

Should you leave the party early, he may get angry. (Nếu bạn rời bữa tiệc sớm, anh ta có thể sẽ tức giận.)

✔  Câu điều kiện loại 2:

Were S + to V/ Were S, S + would/could/might + V

Ex:

If I had enough money, I would buy a new house.

=> Were I to have enough money, I would buy a new house.

(Nếu tôi có đủ tiền thì tôi đã mua một căn nhà mới.)

If I were you, I would follow our teacher's advice.

=> Were I you, I would follow our teacher's advice.

(Nếu tôi là bạn, tôi sẽ nghe theo lời khuyên của giáo viên.)

✔ Câu điều kiện loại 3:

Had + S + V p.p, S + would/should/might have PII

Ex: If he hadn’t stayed up late last night he wouldn’t have had a headache.

=> Had he not stayed up late last night, he wouldn’t have had a headache.

(Nếu anh ấy không thức khuya và đêm qua, anh ấy đã không bị đau đầu.)
