I live in a big city, and my house is not very big since there are only rich people who can afford to live in a spacious house. Every room in my house is just enough for our activities, so we do not have much space for the living room. However, we try our best to decorate it because it is where the whole family gathers after a long day staying outside. We lay down a thick rug on the floor, it both helps to decorate and keep the floor safe from the scratches. To save some space, we put the TV and the loud speakers on the wall. The Play Station, DVD player and other electronic devices are put in a small cabinet in the corner of the room, and we only take them out whenever we want to play something. In the middle of the room is a glass table, we put on the surface a bottle of fresh water and some cups so everyone can have a quick drink before leaving or after coming back to the house. Behind the table is a big white couch, and it can be considered as the biggest thing in the living room. My mother loves the pastel tone, so the walls are painted in cream color; and they all go very well with the couch. We do not have any window there, so we install an air conditioner to keep the atmosphere cool. We hang some pictures of landscape as well as painting on the walls to make the room livelier. There are also a pot of a small plant in the corner of the room, so we can get some fresh air from it. Every night, we would gather to watch TV or sing karaoke, and it is my favorite time of the day. Although the living room is no too big, our family will always have good times there together.

Chúng tôi không có cái cửa sổ nào ở đó, vậy nên chúng tôi đã lắp máy điều hoà nhiệt độ để giữ không khí mát mẻ. Chúng tôi cũng treo một vài bức tranh phong cảnh cũng như tranh vẽ trên tường để làm căn phòng trông sống động hơn. Trong góc phòng cũng có một chậu cây cảnh nhỏ để chúng tôi có thể có được một chút không khí trong lành từ nó. Mỗi buổi tối, chúng tôi sẽ tụ họp lại để xem TV hoặc hát karaoke; và đó là khoảng thời gian yêu thích nhất của tôi trong ngày. Mặc dù phòng khách không quá lớn, gia đình chúng tôi luôn có những khoảng thời gian tốt đẹp ở đó.

At the ceiling there is a colorful chandelier, it is often turned on the holidays, celebrations, ... On the wall, I hang a lot of artwork to decorate the room. In the corner of the room, this is also the place where I love best because there is a small aquarium. Mother bought so many colorful fishes such as sailfish, carp, ... Every day, I supply them with food so they look so chubby. All members in our family love this room so much, we keep it always clean and neat. In the future, it will definitely be furbished more, becomes more comfortable to welcome the members back home after a stressful day.
2.I am a student, live alone in a small apartment on the 12th floor of a residential area.To me, a beautiful living room is also a bedroom and a dining room. I paint the room pink color so it looks pretty young and warm. Right next to the door of the room, I have put a clothes hook to hang umbrellas, coat and bags. In the middle of the room is a soft brown sofa,it is also a temporary bed for me. There I put a big bear, which is my dear friend, shares with me the sadness or happiness and even loneliness when I feel homesick. In the left corner is a wooden bookcase. I live in a pretty big house in the countryside since we also live with our grandparents, and the biggest as well as the most beautiful room in our house is the living room. We have a tradition to visit others house in our free times, so the living is specialized to welcome our guests. We do not put the TV, loud speakers or the DVD player there, because that is the space for us to talk to each other. At the end of the room, we put a big altar which is used to worship our ancestors. My mother takes a very good care of it since she changes the water and incenses every day. My father installs some lights to make it brighter and warmer. In the middle of the room is a couch which made from wood. It is beautifully carved into a dragon which the body is the back, the head is the place to rest our heads, and the claws are the four legs of the couch. The table surface is decorated with conch, and it makes the complete look to not look too heavy. On the table are a big flower vase and a set of tea pot and cups, which is used to serve the best tea to our guests. There is a big window behind the couch, and it gives the room plenty sources of light. The curtains are in light green color, and go very well with the dark green paint of the walls. On the walls are some of our family pictures as well as some pieces of my grandfather’s calligraphy. He has the ability to write Chinese and Vietnamese words in a very beautiful way, so we frame some of his works and put them on the walls. It can be said that the living room represent the whole family, so we always try to take a very good care of it.
