\(B=x^3+2x^2y-4xy^2+2y-3\\=2^3+2.2^2.\left(-\dfrac{1}{2}\right)-4.2.\left(-\dfrac{1}{2}\right)^2+2.\left(-\dfrac{1}{2}\right)-3\\ =8-4-2-1-3\\ =-2\)

\(B=8+2.4\left(-\dfrac{1}{2}\right)-\dfrac{4.2.1}{4}+2\left(-\dfrac{1}{2}\right)-3\)

\(=8-4-2-1-3=-2\)
