VD: The older my grandfather gets,the weaker he is.
2. The more + long adj + clause; the more + long adj + clause
VD: The more bautiful she is,the more arrogant she gets.
3. The short adj + er + clause; the more + long adj + clause
VD: The hotter it gets, the more miserable I am.
4. The more + clause; the short adj + er + clause
VD: The more he eats, the fatter he becomes.
5. The more + clause, the more + clause
VD: The more he talks to me, the more I hate him.
6. The less + adj + clause; the less + adj + clause
VD: The less diligent you are, the less successful you become
7. The less + clause, the more + clause
VD: The less we forget it, the more we know it.
